Time & Balance

Time is a fickle thing. Lately it seems the minutes, hours, days, weeks and months just all bleed together. The days are long and the weeks are short. I haven’t been posting as much or writing as much as I’d like. I have been able to get a little bit in almost every day.

Kids starting school is part of the reason, planning our wedding, (I found my dress btw!!) and house hunting. Life has just gotten hectic. This happens though, its the natural ebb and flow of things. I wonder sometimes what My Love and I will be doing in a year from now. We will be married and in our new house. My books will be published and I will be working on another.

I’ve been trying to find balance. Balance between my personal life, my professional life, my work, my passion, and my family. There seems to not be enough hours in the day no matter what time I go to bed or what time I wake up in the morning. I have gotten some things done this past week. Big steps! Things that have re-lit the fire and makes me want to get everything done as soon as humanly possible.

This is so very true!

I feel like sometimes we get so down on ourselves for not being where we want to be by the time we thought we would. There are some things in this life that you just cannot rush. There are others you can, and it works! This isn’t something I’ve been able to rush. I’ve been feeling pretty bad about not being as far along as I thought I would be. Sometimes the plan changes and the time line adjusts. You can either roll with it or try to fight it. Just an observation from my own life…Fighting it never works out in your favor.

Much Love,

J.S. Wik
